The students in our classes are immigrants. They are the most recent wave of people from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America, who have traveled from around the globe to make America their home. Yuri and Pooja created an iMovie on immigration of the past and present, featuring Logan’s House Principal Mr. Abhi Brar, who graciously shared his own experience immigrating from India as a teenager. Brenda and Evelyn traced the history of Mexican immigration to the US. Their PowerPoint also reported on the Dream Act, an educational initiative to help children of undocumented workers.
