Whenever you visit Lake Chabot, the birds are always on full display. Tall white Great Egrets patiently wait to catch small fish, while black and orange Cormorants dive from the sky and swim underwater as they hunt. Loud black and grey Canada Geese preen themselves at Honker Bay. Flocks of Mallards and Coots swim silently until they take flight, fluttering overhead. So come join me at Lake Chabot, where we can watch the birds together, reminding of us of nature’s great beauty in our own backyard.
