The Avenue of the Giants is a 32 mile road lined by some of the most beautiful redwoods in the world. The old Redwood Highway parallels Highway 101 and the Eel River. I’ve biked and driven the route since I was a boy. Steinbeck said it best, “The redwoods, once seen, leave a mark or create a vision that stays with you always… they are not like any trees we know, they are ambassadors from another time."
