When you walk along the Sunabe Seawall you’ll see beautiful blue water and dramatic clouds. White egrets grace the tetrapods, which look like concrete jacks. The wall is designed to protect the town of Chatan from big surf and tsunamis. Each morning Okinawans head to the seawall to take their morning walks, scuba dive, fish, and explore the tidepools.
