After Easter, we stayed three days in a cottage on Oceanside Beach at Camp Pendleton. Even though the weather was overcast, the kids found ways to have fun. For example, they spent two days digging a gigantic hole on the beach. Andrew got his kite aloft. In the evening we built a fire and roasted marshmallows. And, at bedtime, the boys enjoyed retiring to their tents. We didn’t let the weather dampen our spirits.
