We met cousin Jannie in Portland at the Rose Garden in Washington Park. However, there were not many blooms out, so we tried the adjacent Portland Japanese Garden. The tranquil green gardens did not disappoint. The brochure explained the garden "encompasses 12 acres with eight separate garden styles, an authentic Japanese tea house, meandering streams, intimate walkways, and a spectacular view of Mt. Hood.” It’s a must see if you visit Portland.
