After family camping, Nate went on his third backpacking trip to Pt. Reyes. Nicole joined us, making for a great mother and son adventure. Our first day, we hiked to Sky Camp, where we pitched our tents under the trees. The next morning fog crept into camp and then receded to reveal beautiful blue skies. On day two, we hiked five miles down to Coast Camp where Nicole and Nate strolled on the nearby beach. Our third day was the longest trek, over eight miles to Glen Camp. We had a cozy spot up on the hill. The next morning, we hiked four and half miles to the Bear Valley Visitor Center.
We backpacked over twenty miles, Nate’s longest trip yet. Next year, we’re excited to have Abby join our family's Pt. Reyes backpacking tradition.
