Less than an hour from London, we hiked in the Epping Forest. It felt like taking a walk back in time, and we fully expected to encounter medeival knights on horseback. In fact, the forest is home to 55,000 ancient trees, more than any single site in England. We wandered among the centuries old beech and birch trees, marveling at their majesty. At the trail’s end, we dined on Thai food at the Robin Hood — I am sure the same spot as his merry men.
