Native Americans

The first people to live on the North and South American continents were believed to have traveled over a land bridge from Asia. Over thousands of years they created many distinct cultures, with different languages and customs. Each nation was shaped by the the climate, resources, and land on which they lived. Before Europeans arrived, historians believe there were over 500 different nations formed by these first peoples.
