The fourth unit is an in-depth look at the institutions of the federal government. We focus on the functioning of the three parts of government: The Executive Branch, The Legislative Branch, and the Judicial Branch. In addition, this unit explains the national bureaucracy, sometimes called the fourth branch of government due to its importance.
